I’d say make sure your case is loaded up with good fans in an intake front exhaust top and rear setup. By doing these 2 simple things, My CPU temperature, from idle, went from 70 to 39 and while browsing, it went from 80 to 45 degrees and when using 3d applications (like 3ds max, Maya, CAD) or video editing softwares (E.g premiere or resolve), it went from 90 to between 40-60 degrees. However, getting an aftermarket cooler like a hyper 212 will help keep those temps nice and low.same with summer here those are my temps 2 in the winter i was cool as a cucumberHow many case fans do you have and what position are they in?If the temps spiked after a case change this could be the cause of the issue.3 on the front as intake, and one on the top as exhaust, and the radiator/fan for the GPU is exhaust on the back.85-90 isn’t too bad.
With turbo boost its cpu works so smooth. But, as a generalization that might help you identify a serious problem, if you have an Intel processor, you could say that a CPU core temperature of over 40-45-degrees Celsius while idling and/or a temperature of over 80-85-degrees Celsius while under full load is probably a cause for concern.
My 2600x hits 85 while gaming.
But it is better if you can keep it under 90 degrees.
Hardware. (the CPU will decrease noticable in temperature when you use this).

So i dont know what is causing such temperatures on my CPU.But what caused me to post on this support forum is this:It made me quite concerned about my laptop and im worried that i am ruining my laptop with such temperatures.
In the HP Omen command center i have the performance settings on 'standard'.

The temperature goes to 90-99 degrees and then temperature throttling kicks in but it obviously does not help enough so after a while power throttling turns on a which results in massive FPS drop (clock drops from 3,90 to 0,80). So, I have a Ryzen 7 2700x with the Wraith Prism cooler it comes with, however, after swapping it into a new case (NZXT h510), I started to notice the smell of really warm, but not burning plastic if that makes sense. CPUs. I don't mind the noise. Community

HP omen 15 CPU temperature 90C+ degrees during gaming. The CPU temperature starts to annoy me, the fans make a lot fo noise to keep it cool and consistent temperatures of 90 degrees Celsius cannot (i think..) be 'healthy' for my laptop.
If I reduce its capacity to 99% along with other things I can limit its temps between 70-80 degrees.
