The service is impeccable -- from the hostesses to the bartenders to the waiters/waitresses all the way to the chefs and expediters. The fish was so tender and flakey with a wonderful crust. Good amount of shrimp, not shy on the butter, and spiced just right. My husband ate with his jacket on and I was cold with my sweater. The short rib was humongous and soooo good. Nothing like it was.Always the best no matter how many times we go. For my last meal there it was either K-Pauls or here. Extremely unorganized, and wait staff were constantly bumping into each other or yelling across the room at each other. NOLA is chef/restaurateur Emeril Lagasse’s casual eatery in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter.
He said you can’t go wrong with any of them. Felt like we were eating at a bar.Service was incompetent and rude. This is my second time dining here.
The drinks were great, and the food was excellent.Came her 2 times in 3 days when we were in New Orleans. I am not a local but I frequent New Orleans often and will certainly be back.Our main waiter was very busy and not to attentive to us. And the oyster special was out of this world. After we ate it, then the waiter told us that one of them was complementary chicken wings, and they were just now delivering the alligator. We were actually out kind of early for a Friday night in New Orleans, looking for dinner at 6pm. It is a shame this is what it has turned into. Avoid this dish.

Mind you there were numerous tables open throughout the restaurant. Our sever was attentive, caring and even made some jokes with us.I N C R E D I B L E. Three of us went out to dinner at NOLA 2 days ago and we are still raving about it to everyone we talk to. Our server was amazing. Our server was perfect - very attentive and had a great wine pairing recommendation.
Table next to us came in about 5 mins after us and finished entrees 10 mins before we got ours.
