Exceler given the knobs on the Lexa's handle are easily removed. I have the $59.00 version of the Diawi I think it's a great reel for the price. the handle bent VERY easily. Exceler is a comfortable reel to palm and really feels no different than the Lexa. Even moving oof the main lake it remained good. i'm not sure if this is because of the swept handle design or what, but it was very annoying. The jury is still out on the exceler baitcaster but, we are going down again this weekend and will give it one more try before I relegate it too back-up reel status. Daiwa Exceler 100H baitcasting reel 6.3:1 for sale I used this reel at the lake like maybe 2 or 3 times and not even hard.So its almost brand new and in very good condition.Its already spooled with i think 10 or 12 lb spider wire mono.The features are magforce z,free floating spool and swept handle.
Exceler slides into Daiwa's lineup and virtually replaces the Lexa as an even better choice for budget minded anglers. Exceler, excuse the pun, excels at this price point. For now I think I will stick with the Exceler and the Procasters.
The length of the Have caught some really nice fish with it and so far no complaints. The low profile, the ease of thumb control, the smoothness in the cast and the high speed return are its assets. hey check on e~bay...i looked the other day and they have a few guys that get imports cheap, i am not sure what is wrong with them or how they do it cheaper than the manufacture does but worth a look...i have not bought from them, but i wonder about how good a deal some of it could be? Being a former 'died in the wool' spinning reel user, it is taking a lot of practice in the back yard. In fact, the internals of this reel appear almost identical to that of the Lexa. It was a great trip!
