Casey assumes she means her boyfriend, Nate, assuring Izzie she wouldn't come between them. Izzie jokes that it's a miracle they are still alive before being interrupted by Nate.
Created by Robia Rashid. As they get closer with each other, Izzie suggests that she and Casey try to get UCLA track scholarships by being recruited by a scouter and go to LA together. Casey interrupts her with a passionate kiss, which is the episode's final shot. Izzie confesses to texting Nate which is why he turned up and suggests watching a movie. This quickly turns into a passionate make-out session (Episode 7).
After the kiss, they're both a bit speechless but are able to laugh about it and decide to go eat something. This is the first and only time Izzie calls her this. Sam stops her talking about the game they are supposed to be playing which causes Casey to snap at Sam telling him to leave her alone in front of everyone showing anger at everything being about him, including her birthday.

The confession affects Casey's running performance, and she is sent home by her coach so she can be better tomorrow. Casey understands and agrees to take things slow. Casey doesn't know how to react to this, and avoids Izzie for the whole day after the confession. They both laugh about it and agree that it's best they go to their respective houses. In the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant, they happily talk about their confusion about one another's feelings before the kiss, and when they're about to kiss again, they are interrupted by Evans's sister Beth, who starts a short but painfully awkward conversation. However, you can see the evident worry on her face about them not talking. It is unclear whether Izzie and Nate have broken up or are still together at this point. When Casey is blowing out the candles on her cake, however, she is shown grinning again as she watches. Casey is excited at first but is worried about how it would affect her relationship with Evan.
At school, they talk via notebook writing and Casey says she needs to talk to Evan before defining her and Izzie's relationship for good, as she doesn't want to be like Elsa. The following day, Casey wins a race and Izzie tries to congratulate her, but Casey doesn't respond. Walking in to join Nate and Izzie, Casey complains about still being hungry. She tends to be a bit hostile towards Evan, and overall bothered by his relationship with Casey. At the same time, Casey is called into Coach Crowley's office, as due to her outstanding performance in the race, UCLA have their eye on her. However, they eventually make up. Shouting Evan and her mum to leave her alone, Izzie opens the door asking if she can come in who allows her to. In Coach Crowley's office, Casey and Izzie are told they are not to leave until they get along. Izzie explains what happened with her mother's boyfriend stating she told him to leave before taking the kids out of there and taking them to her grandmothers. After the almost kiss, Casey seems to be avoiding Izzie at the start of the episode as she lies about spending time with her family to spend time with Evan. With this in common, it allows Casey to open up about Sam being autistic and they are finally able to bond. Interested in having a girlfriend, Sam … When they're back at school, Izzie goes to apologize but is shut off by Casey, who is mad for having to hear her apologizes more times she should. Izzie is strong, independent, and stubborn. Izzie is portrayed by Fivel Stewart. Izzie is the oldest of four children. When Evan calls her a brat for her attitude, she leaves to go upstairs. Later on when Casey is hanging out with Evan and mentions the meet up, he asks if he can go which Casey agrees to.
